Douglas Freeman MS, LAc
After receiving a BFA from the Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio, Douglas moved to Paris, France to pursue a career as a modern dancer. After more than a decade of teaching dance and fitness throughout France and Switzerland he returned to the United States, moving to NYC to attend the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. There he received his Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine degree. In 2001 Douglas started a private Acupuncture practice near Union Square focusing on the positive effects of using Acupuncture as a viable healthcare option. Since then, he has acquired vast experience successfully treating muscular and skeletal pain syndromes, gynecological concerns; especially fertility issues and irregular/ painful menstruation and the various conditions related to HIV/AIDS. Douglas holds a NY state license to practice Acupuncture, is Board certified as a Diplomat of Oriental Medicine from the
National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, is certified by the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Clean Needle Technique and is certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.
